The countdown to the Magic Man 34 has
certainly begun with just over 5 weeks
before the running of the $20 000 dollar
event. After a false start due to bad
weather at the start of the season it’s
hoped that a bigger contingent of East
Coast drivers will make the trek to WA
in the hope of taking out the huge $12
000 first prize.
Several current drivers from other
divisions are also keen on getting a
piece of the action with WA Sprintcar
driver Rick Geneve and cousin of Michael
will be behind the wheel of the John
Bryant Speedcar along with "The Jive
Man" Keith Giles running the Wayne Cover
car. The added bonus for the first WASDA
WA driver home will be a new Stealth
chassis. A number of added sponsors for
the event will be released shortly along
with a few surprises that will happen on
the night.
The event will be audio streamed live on
the net for anyone wanting to tune in
that can’t make the trek west thanks to
Rick Gilmour and a special edition of
WA’s Speedway Show RaceLine hosted by
Darren Sutton and Ross Heywood on 107.3
FM will be running a special tribute
show on the Saturday of the event.
